It's 12:25pm on Saturday. I took the Alli dose last night with dinner and then another one with breakfast and so far I haven't noticed any of the infamous "side effects".
Last night when I got home from work, I heated up a Lean Cuisine pasta dish that was absolutely disgusting and made the whole house smell like vomit. After a few bites I gave up and threw it in the trash. I then settled for two bowls of cereal. It wasn't the best dinner I've ever had but at least it was extremely low in fat. The other downside was how late it was. Soon after eating I went to sleep. This morning I woke up starving and seriously craving sugar. I quickly made myself a bowl of cereal (Special K Fruit & Yogurt) and felt better afterwards. Instead of having one serving of breakfast I had two. I think the reason I felt so famished this morning is because I ate so close to bedtime last night. In the past, I have noticed that if I eat too late, I wake up hungry the next morning. I really have to work on my eating schedule. I have a bad habit of skipping lunch and the gorging my face on a huge fatty dinner. Or skipping dinner only to load myself up with ice cream and other unhealthy snacks late at night.
A few days ago when I was at the store I bought five different microwave meals. The first one I tried was yesterday at lunch. It was a Lean Cuisine (I think) meat lasagna with a side of yellow and orange carrots. The lasagna was okay...the carrots were pretty gross. But since I didn't buy the meal for the carrots I will most likely try this one again. Last night I had a Lean Cuisine Pasta Romano with Bacon. That was gross and I will not be buying it again. Today for lunch I have three options left... a pasta with meat sauce, a chicken with veggies, or chicken enchiladas with rice. I haven't decided which one I will try.
For dinner tonight I will probably cook chicken, but first I have to see if it is low fat enough. You see, there are several recipes I absolutely love but aren't low fat at all. So I have tried to take them and make them into new low fat versions. The chicken dish I want to cook tonight usually consists of chicken thighs, a cup of mayo, a can of regular cream of chicken soup, and a few other items. Since mayo and cream of chicken soup are both extremely fatty I figured this recipe would have to be thrown out. But then I found the low fat version of cream of chicken soup and Miracle Whip Light. I bought both of those low fat alternatives at the store. The only problem is, they still have too much fat in them. Tonight I will try to see if I can amend the recipe a little further. The dish is also cooked with white rice which is also low fat. If I can make this dish work I will have my first low fat dish that I love to eat.
Since this is the first day I have tried Alli I will check in later to let you know how it is going. I am also going to weigh myself again. Fingers crossed.
