Day 15 - Evening Update

My kids and I just finished a late dinner. My six year old and I went to the store earlier and we bought a bunch of ingredients for a new chicken recipe I found (hooray for daily goals). I found two recipes actually, both chicken dishes. The first was on AllRecipes.com and it was called "Blackened Chicken". The second was on WomansHealthMagazine.com and that was for Lemon Herb Chicken. My kids decided to try the blackened chicken and my six year old helped me cook. For my side veggie I chose asparagus. The chicken turned out pretty good but I will tweak the recipe a little next time. The asparagus however was horrible over cooked (oops) and was all soggy and mushy. I also cooked some instant mashed potatoes for my twelve year old who LOVES them (any white food really). I didn't want to completely waste the mushy asparagus so I cut off the tops and mixed them in with some chicken pieces and mashed potatoes and it was actually pretty darn good. Tomorrow night I will try the lemon herb chicken and cook broccoli and rice for sides (I'll let you know how it turns out).

Another positive today was that I remembered to take all three Alli pills. I've found the little pill carrier (that comes with the starter pack) very helpful.

I've been checking on my new FitBit all day. The little face on it finally went from sticking its tongue out to smiling so I guess it thinks I did pretty well today. So far I have 4,062 steps today. I wasn't able to complete my second daily goal which was to go to the gym or walk 10,000 steps because it's 9:00pm and I still have to do the dishes, help my six old brush her teeth, and put her bed. It has been a very busy day.

I am super excited that tomorrow is my weigh day! I am also excited that I am pretty sure I have time to go to the gym tomorrow morning after I drop the kids off. I am pretty sure I don't have any clients scheduled in the morning so I can go to the gym and then to my office afterwards. I have been wondering if my fitbit will work on the Elliptical..,I think there might be a setting I can change to get it to work.

Alright...it's now almost 10pm. My kids and now asleep and I'm pooped. I'm going to bed now. Nite.
