Day 12 - Mid Day Check-In

Today breakfast was the usual Special K Fruit & Yogurt with skim milk. For my mid morning snack I had the usual carrots but this time I added a small dab of Hidden Valley Fat Free Ranch Dressing. For lunch I'm going to either had left over tacos (from last night) or a microwave meal. I bought a couple new ones at the store last night. The one I'm excited to try is Smart Ones Mini Rigatoni with Vodka Cream Sauce. Looks delicious.

I haven't decided if I'm going to try going to the gym or going for a walk with my kids. It's the perfect day for a walk... Not too hot and not too cold. My guess is that I'll probably opt to take a walk since it's much nicer being outside than it is being in a stinky sweaty gym.

Yesterday I ended up having to leave work a little early. The after school called and said my six year was hit in the face with a ball while playing outside. They said her glasses broke and that she was really upset about it. I asked them if she wanted me to come pick her up and they said yes.

After picking her up I called Kaiser Optical Dept to see what time they closed. It turned out, the downtown facility closed at 6:00pm. Since it was 5pm we had more than enough time. I parked at the grocery store and we walked the four blocks to Kaiser. Thankfully I had purchased the insurance on the glasses so the replacement frames were only half price, so I ended up paying $70 which was better than $140. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast it took. Fifteen minutes after walking in we were walking out with new frames in hand.

Afterward we headed back to the grocery store where the car was parked to get some healthy groceries.

I just remembered I have to go downtown and pick up a few things I bought from one of my clients who is downsizing. I would walk except I'm picking up a huge monitor, a foot stool, and a laptop stand. Maybe I can find a way...
