Day 10 - Morning Check-In

I have made it to day 10. I woke up this morning feeling hungry but not starving. I think my body is getting used to the lower caloric intake.

Dinner last night was excellent: chicken with broccoli and rice. For dessert I had two Snack Wells cookies.

Today is a potential gym day. My Thursday client has a retail/showroom that closes at 4pm. If I can leave at 4pm I can make it to the gym. Most of the time I end up having to stay until 5pm or 5:30pm since there are still things that need to be done... For example, if I have to use QuickBooks in single user mode to merge accounts, update preferences, or use the CDR (Client Data Review), I have to wait until everyone who is using QuickBooks has left for the day. Since everyone leaves at 4pm I can't start working in single user mode until after that. Last week u had planned on going to the gym and leaving right at 4pm but several issues with QuickBooks came up and I ended up staying until 5pm. I am bringing my gym bag with me today in the hopes that I'll make it. If I can't, I try to go on a walk later with my daughter and our dog. When I can't make it to the gym, I try to at least do 10,000 steps on my pedometer (on my iPhone).

Speaking of my pedometer, for making it through week 1, I am going to reward myself with an actual pedometer.  I have looked on Amazon and am thinking of purchasing a FitBit Zip.  I really wanted to get a pedometer that goes on my wrist (like a bracelet) but those pedometers are over $100 and have pretty poor reviews.  I will continue looking at my options and will check back later to let you know what I decided.


For breakfast today I had the usual. For lunch I'm going to try and make it to Subway. I am also bringing one of my low fat microwave meals just in case I don't have time to run out and grab lunch. My snacks were so good yesterday I'm going to repeat them today: carrots, strawberries, and pretzels.
